Products That Saved My Skin This Winter

My mom took Emery for the afternoon, and Ellis just went down for a nap so I thought to myself, “okay I have 3 options…I can exercise. I can blog. Or I can put makeup on and actually style my hair.” Blogging won today! Somehow both of my kids are at very needy stages right now and most days I don’t know how I made it through without a gallon of coffee! Most days I have to pick and choose what I have time for, and the other days I don’t even have the option to focus on me. So you better believe I am going to take full advantage of this little afternoon break!

Raise your hand if you are excited that it’s finally officially spring! Both of my hands are up. I am so so happy winter is over. It’s my least favorite season, by far. My skin suffers greatly, and it takes me weeks to get my skin back to normalcy after a flair up. My skin loves springtime, though, and I have more good skin days than bad! There are a few products that have been my saving grace during these cold and dry winter months. The only things that have helped keep my skin hydrated and have helped with the flakiness. I don’t even want to know what my skin would be like right now if I hadn’t have used them!

WHISH NOURISHING DEW MASK

I did a review on this product a few months ago, and I stand by my assessment! It changed my skin for the better. I still use it every week! It’s specifically for dry, aging skin, but honestly I think it could benefit everyone! It’s nourishing ingredients have healing benefits that anyone could use more of. It completely removes any flaky skin I have, which not many products can do for me. If you are suffering from dry, rough skin you need this in your life! It retails for $54 and it’s worth every dollar.

Air Repair Cleansing Milk

Unfortunately I went several months this winter without my favorite cleanser because I ran out and didn’t replace it right away. Big mistake. As soon as I used it again after not having it for so long my skin felt so much better. It felt smooth and soft. Not dry or tight anymore. The thing I love most about this cleanser is that it deep cleans my skin without making my skin feel tight afterwards. Does anyone else have that problem? I feel like I’m not the only one who hates that tight feeling after using some cleansers. This is by far the best cleanser I’ve ever used and I don’t know if I’ll ever change! It retails for $10 but the bottle is on the small size. A little bit goes a long way, though, so you shouldn’t run out too quick.

Air Repair Rescue Balm

I’ll admit when I first received this product I wasn’t sure how to use it. It’s kind of thick and waxy feeling and didn’t spread super easy. Well, after using it a few times on my hands I fell in love. I figured out how to warm it a little before applying it and it came out soft and applied easily. I use it everywhere! Hands, feet, face, lips. It’s an all-purpose product! I’ve never used anything like it! My favorite way to use it on my face is to use it like a spot treatment. Anywhere that I see redness or that feels rough I apply it before bed and leave it on all night. Works like magic! It retails for $13.50 and lasts forever!

Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion

This is what I call my secret weapon! I carry it around with me everywhere. I love it because I can use it on myself or my kids. The oatmeal in it is good for dry skin, plus it’s fragrance-free. This lotion is awesome for the whole body, I’ve even used it on my face before with no issues! It works instantly to soothe the skin. I use it every single day. I suffer from eczema on my wrists during the wintertime, and this lotion is the only lotion I’ve found that takes away the itchy feeling and helps heal the broken skin. I even use it on sunburns in the summertime! It’s my favorite body lotion, by far! It retails for $8.99 and you’ll use up every ounce of it.
