elf cosmetics

I’m determined to try every E.l.f. Product that comes out because they have yet to disappoint. I mean, HOW ARE THEIR PRODUCTS SO CHEAP?!?! Someone please tell me! AND they just released a lot of new products, so I had to do a makeup haul, obvi. I got 5 of their new products to try out and review for you guys. So grab your pumpkin spice latte and settle in. We are about to begin.

{Eyelash Curler}

It seems like any old eyelash curler should do the trick, but I had been using a Revlon curler these past few months and I wasn’t impressed. I felt like it didn’t fit my eyes well enough to give a good curl to my entire lash line. WELL. Let me be the first to tell you that the e.l.f. Eyelash Curler is small enough to get all of your lashes! It actually curls the lashes on the inside of the eye so they look longer. And the curl seems to last, which usually is a problem for me. My lashes are naturally straight so the curl usually fades within 30 minutes. I don’t know if it’s the combination of my new e.l.f. mascara and the e.l.f. eyelash curler together, or just the curler on it’s own, but the curl is lasting longer! I think I’ve finally found my match made in eyelash heaven.

{Lip Liner}

I got the Natural Lip Pencil to use on a friend of mine of whom I was doing makeup on for her wedding. I actually ended up really loving it on her, and we didn’t even have to use a lip color on top of it because the color was so flattering. I had to try it out for myself, as well, before deciding that I really did like it. It doesn’t FEEL really smooth on, but most lip liners don’t anyway. It seemed to last long enough, especially for a $2 liner. The color is what I love about it. It’s called Natural, but sort of has a coral undertone to it. One side is matte and the other is shimmer. The shimmer side is more of a nude. If you just put a clear gloss over it it would look like a lip stick. Really pretty for fair-skinned ladies.

{Eyeshadow Primer}

I first tried this eyeshadow primer on the same girl that I used the lip liner on for her wedding makeup trial. It goes on very smooth and feels super light! It’s not cakey at all. There’s a white one and a natural toned one, which is the one that I purchased. As someone that used it for heavier makeup I would say that it did it’s job pretty well. It isn’t the best eyeshadow primer that I’ve ever used, but it did help give the eyeshadow a bolder appearance than if I hadn’t used a primer.

{Brow Pencil}

I usually use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz but I ran out a week ago and thought I’d try out the e.l.f. one to see how it measured up. The colors are a bit limited, with just 3 available for brunettes, while ABH has one for basically any skin tone and color. The fact that it’s only $2 though is pretty amazing! It goes on really well and looks pretty. It can be easily wiped off which can either be great for some people or annoying for others. I think it’s definitely worth trying out, though! I actually really love it, and am mastering making it look very natural.

{3-In-1 Mascara}

I’m picky about my mascaras, which you probably remember from my past post {Mascara} The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. This 3-in-1 mascara is supposed to be defining, lengthening and volumizing. I agree with the defining and lengthening part, but it doesn’t seem to add much volume to mine. Maybe I just have bad lashes for this product, since they’re naturally so straight and thin. Maybe it just adds volume to lashes that are already a little voluminous. I don’t know. But I still think it’s worth the $3. I mean, compared to other more expensive brands that are around $20, I’d say it’s definitely comparable! Try it out for yourself and see how it measures up for you.

I think we can all agree that e.l.f. products are amazing and easy to fall in love with. I’m super excited to try out more of their new products that they just released this past month, skin care included! What have you tried and loved? Leave it in the comments! I’d really love to hear from you.
