Welcome to one of my favorite months out of the year- October! With the changing of the seasons come all of the things that I love: cool weather, sweaters, pumpkins, scarves, warm socks, the best smelling candles you’ll ever find. The only downfall of cooler weather is the dryness in the air. It always makes my skin dry and flaky and not so smooth. In order to restore my skin back to a good state I have been using a body scrub! I made a cinnamon body scrub last year that makes my skin feel amazing, but I have been in the mood to change it up. I came across this recipe on Pinterest (of course) and immediately needed to make it ASAP. So that’s exactly what I did. It’s probably the best smelling body scrub I have ever smelled! It’s like fall in a jar. Seriously, you’ll probably want to eat it. It smells like pie. So go to your kitchen and pull out all of these yummy ingredients and try it for yourself!
2 C brown sugar
1/2 C coconut oil
2 Tbsp. apple pie spice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. vanilla essential oil (Although, I like to use more because I love vanilla.)
1 tsp. vitamin E
Set your coconut oil out to the side first so it can begin melting, so when you add it in later it will mix easier. Get a large mixing bowl and add in all of the ingredients, saving the coconut oil for last. Mix well until it gets to a good consistency. Spoon into a glass jar with a lid, so it will stay fresh until you’re ready to use it!
Not only does it SMELL amazing, but it makes your skin FEEL amazing! If you love it as much as I do, you should share the love.
