Valentine’s Day has finally arrived so let all the love posts begin! I have already been spoiled this morning with gorgeous roses and my favorite candy from my sweet husband.
Now as I’m getting prepared for our 11th Valentine’s date night together, I thought I’d share some of my favorite date night essentials with you!
My Date Night Essentials
Ah, love is in the air. Along with the smell of my favorite perfume from Victoria’s Secret, Bombshell. It. Smells. Amazing! Must-have for my Valentine’s date night with my handsome hubby!
Just polishing your nails can make you feel like you are going from casual to cute. I am a sucker for pink and red on Valentine’s Day, so this year I’ll be going with my favorite hot pink Essie polish, Bachelorette Bash.
Whether you decide to go a more casual route or to get really dressed up you can never go wrong with a bold liner. I’ll be going a little dramatic with my fave Kat Von D Ink Liner. (Right now on the Kat Von D website you receive an ink liner for free when you spend $50 or more!)
Tonight is the perfect night to wear your makeup as dramatic as you like! For me that means using one of my favorite shadow palettes, and some false lashes! I’ve had this Too Faced Romantic Eye collection for awhile, but it still has some of my favorite colors!
Strip lashes are fun to wear and complete your dramatic makeup look. I found mine at Sephora for a good price, and have been able to reuse them several times.
I haven’t decided which lip color I’ll go with yet, because I haven’t finished getting my outfit together. But if you need some help choosing a good color you can refer back to my post on the 5 lip colors that can never go wrong! I hope you all have a fabulous Valentine’s Day and are getting spoiled rotten!
In the Tulsa Area?
Finding a great restaurant to eat at on Valentine’s Day is a must! Here’s a list of some of my favorite Tulsa restaurants if you need some ideas.
Andolini’s – Good pizza, and great vibes! Definitely recommend if you like to take more of the casual route.
Tavolo – Homemade Italian with a great wine list! I’d call ahead and try to get a reservation. It’s pretty fancy, so have fun and get dressed up!
SMOKE. on Cherry Street – If you love steak you HAVE to try the steak from SMOKE. I also hear they have a great cigar lounge if that’s your thing. Beautiful restaurant and great ambiance.
The Vault – Very unique retro atmosphere! It’s in an old First National Auto Bank building, which was built in the 50’s. Modern flair, and custom (yummy) cocktails! Definitely dress up for this one!
Roosevelt’s – Gastropub with a huge beer selection, and one of the best burgers in town! It’s casual, so don’t feel like you have to wear a dress. Highly recommend!
