If you’re anything like me, you don’t always have a lot of time in the mornings to dedicate to doing your makeup. Here’s a quick and easy routine that I follow when I am in a hurry and still want to look put-together.
Starting with a clean face, apply a smooth layer of foundation on the face and neck using a brush. You can use a sponge, but using a brush gives you a more even-looking complexion and helps you use less product.
Next, apply concealer anywhere it’s needed, like under the eyes, or to cover up blemishes. Use your ring finger for sensitive areas (like under the eyes) or a concealer brush to blend it.
Grab your blush next. You want to choose a light blush for the daytime, to keep it looking natural. You will start by applying it in a circular motion on the apples of your cheeks, using a small dome-shaped brush. Blend it evenly on both sides.
For the eye area, use a sharpened pencil liner to line your eyes. Keep the line pretty thin so it looks very natural. I use a black liner, but someone with light colored eyes should use brown during the day. Do a quick curl with your lash curler, and then apply one coat of your favorite mascara.
To give yourself a finished look, apply a lip color or tint. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Burt’s Bees, so I usually go with their Rose Tinted Lip Balm.
