Autumn Days

It’s finally fall!  Which means it’s time for hayrides, sweaters, cool weather, and pumpkin patches!  Definitely my favorite season, by far.  With Halloween fast approaching, I thought it time to take my daughter to the pumpkin patch!

We have gone to Carmichael’s Pumpkin Patch the past two years, and have never been disappointed.  It’s a little longer of a drive (located in Bixby, OK) but so worth it.  They have the largest variety of pumpkins to choose from, that are priced really well.  It’s free to enter, and there’s lots of activities for the little ones, plus animals for them to look at and feed.  We have taken Emery the last 3 years, and will continue to make it a yearly trip.

I told Emmy to choose her favorite pumpkin and of course she chose the biggest 30 lb pumpkin she could find!  We brought it home and made a “spooky” jack-o-lantern out of it. (Per her request).

I, however, couldn’t choose just one.  Is it just me, or have the colors gotten more beautiful this year?

Now just anxiously awaiting Halloween! And actual fall weather.
